USB internet

Hi,
I'll be visiting Argentina for three weeks and I'll need mobile internet. Is there USB internet available without a contract? Price is not as important as reliability.

There is nothing that you will be able to get on a short-term contract. Everything requires a DNI and residency.

The good news is that there is a ton of free WiFi - in Buenos Aires at least. Most cafes, bars and restaurants have WiFi and the subway is wired too.

Looks as if they do.
I passed by a Claro shop the other day and saw they were offering a prepaid USB modem package in the window....I'm sure the others will follow.

Yes, Claro and Movistar offer Internet 3G prepaid (I'm now sure about Movistar), sometime their prepaid service is down (Claro), I tried to use 1hour pack in July and they took/stole all my balance (45 pesos) at that time, I made few complains and after 3 weeks I did not receive my credit . Movistar have a better Customer Service (for complains) but Claro has a better 3G coverage
