Thoughts on BDL-EZE

I'm hoping to go to EZE (I'm originally from there, but live in the US) for about 9 nights sometime between June 16 and 30. I've been checking options from BDL, and the best trip by far is BDL-IAD-EZE on United/UsAir.

I realize i'm getting close to the travel dates, but i haven't booked yet because depending on when I check pricing, it can go as high as $1750 or as low as $1100 depending on when i check, for the same travel dates. At what point will the prices no longer fluctuate and just go up? I'd like to lock in for the lower end of that price range if possible, but also don't want to end up paying more than i need to...any thoughts on this would be great..

If you see it for $1100, it isn't that it couldn't go down, but if UA is your best option, there's only 1 flight a day from the entire USA, so when they fill up, you are escrewed. You don't have a choice of connecting points. I'd probably buy it now for $1100.

I agree, what i'm saying is after seeing $1400 and higher for a while, and then $1100, now it's back to $1400. I'm wondering whether we're past the point where it will drop back to 1100 for a few days or not...maybe there's just no way to know.

Its all about yield management..... you said it yourself, there is no way to know but basically if the sales for the remaining seats dont fill up as quickly as UA's yield management software and the folks that operate the models estimate, then more seats in the lower fare classes may be released....

Yeah, right now there's about 30 or so coach seats left...hard to predict. Same prices today as yesterday..will see tomorrow, might just make sense to get them at $1400.

If you can fly Delta, you can go BDL-ATL-EZE for $1305 almost any day.
