Ground Transport EZE - La Plata

I am going to La Plata for a conference.
What are the alternatives for travelling from EZE to La Plata?

My flight arrives 8am on a Sunday morning.

Many thanks for your suggestions.

You mean La Plata and not Mar de Plata, right?
Just clarifying.
La Plata is an hour away from Buenos Aires and a taxi may be your best bet.
There is a taxi stand just outside customs or you can try a transportation company called Manuel Tienda Leon.
If you are going to Mar de Plata - that is 5 hours away by bus and you can take a bus at the bus station in Buenos Aires - Retiro.

The conference location is in La Plata...

I would have thought there would be a bus/train from EZE...

No train from EZE... and as far as I know, also no direct bus service to La Plata either... although you can take a combination of Colectivos from EZE to La Plata.... but I would not recommend this.

I suggest you check with Manuel Tienda Leon or similar services that are available in EZE.... MTL has published fares for private cars to La Plata.... I dont know the current prices but Im guessing it will be approx AR$250 or so....

Are you sure? I find it hard to believe that you can't get a coach from Retiro to La Plata direct.
Even from my backwater there are two or three coaches a day to La Plata.

Looks like both Chevallier and Costera Metropolitana have buses going from Retiro to La Plata. But that's not direct from EZE as the OP asked for. He'd still have to get a taxi or MTL from EZE to Retiro and then the bus. It would definitely be easier/shorter to take the taxi to La Plata, although probably more expensive.

Gaucho100K was talking about a direct bus from EZE to La Plata.

Gigantor you can use MTL from EZE to Retiro and then FlechaBus, Costera Metropolitana, Chevallier etc.

Ah cheers....it never even crossed my mind he was talking about direct transport from EZE to La Plata especially when a train was mentioned. I should have paid more attention to the thread title.
