These free walking tours are GREAT! Had a wonderful time with both the guides.

They can also set up private tours, and are great about helping people enjoy the city.

So... after much debate in the singtx household concerning the entry fee, we decided I wouldn't be cheap and hire a tour guide. Her name is Gloria and she was wonderful...
CONTACT:
At first contact was slightly off. Had to wait a few days for initial contact. After initial contact it was smooth and quick.
Went back and forth between what we wanted to see. Canceled the tour, then at the last moment e-mailed Gloria and secured her services for a Saturday tour.
TOUR:
On time and waiting for us in the lobby...she called the room and told us she was there. Very professional and remembered all four of our names from the beginning.
Very knowledgeable about the city. Gloria had a van and a driver so she could
focus on us. We stopped at main interest points and were able to skip areas we already visited. You can stop where you want.
OVERALL:
It was well worth our time and money spent and I would recommend Gloria to anyone who would like to be informed by a true insider.

Hello SingTx... glad you finally decided to invest in Gloria's services, she is indeed top notch!! ^ The issue with good guides is that they are usually very busy, in my experience this explains why sometimes the initial contact will not be as fast as one would want...
