Which Airline has the whiniest FFs?
(I thought about putting this in MilesBuzz, and then thought better of it)
Which airline has the whiniest Frequent Flyers? Not really sure myself.
The Delta board is full of cranky folks, but most of them don't actually seem to be flying Delta anymore.
The United people seem to complain about lots of little things (not enough champagne, not good enough champagne, not being able to upgrade $20 three-continent tickets), but rally behind their airline whenever an outsider disses it.
The CO people seem rather upset lately....
At the airport, the DL people seem fairly docile. The UA gates seem to have a lot of begging for upgrades, etc (DL people know better than to even ask) and lots of whining when they don't get them.
AA fliers seem docile. Southwest flier expect nothing, and they don't seem to mind when they get it.
Opinions?

United as well...
I've whined about UA again and again but I DON'T defend them...
I just choose to fly other carriers now and not be exclusive to one carrier.

I don't see how this thread can lead to anywhere other than a world of hurt.
Besides, we all know the whiniest FFs fly with United. If a United flyer can't fly from SFO - LHR with at least ten segments upgraded to J on a $148 efare then there's hell to pay!

I'm not sure about the point of this thread as it seems to want to pinpoint which loyal customers are the most unhappy with the airline to which they give their business. And the point of that is?
Frankly, I don't understand keeping a vendor who treats you any way other than as a valued client. Unless a FF is located in an area with only one airline, why give business to a vendor who does not deserve it? I no longer fly CO because of the many reasons discussed in the CO forum. I don't understand giving a company business if that company provides an unsatisfactory product.

At first, it was UA when 1Ks received 2003 System Wide Upgrades that required a higher minimum international fare basis then previously.
Then DL dropped the hammer on SkyMiles, so that forum went incandecent.
BA decided if you don't pay enough, you won't earn enough, so those folks tossed their tea in the Thames in disgust (it just wouldn't be British to throw a tantrum, so they played it low-key).
Next up, AS decided to restrict time-of-ticketing free First Class upgrades to only the higher fares. So a riot broke out there as AS is HQ'd in SEA and god knows we love a good riot in SEA.
But being SEA, it was a restrained riot.
Now CO has decided to follow DL's lead and the firestorm has spread from DL to CO, though this might be because the forums are right next to each other. Randy should have put in better "firewalls". <duck>
I expect Minnesota to experience their first seismic event in a few weeks when NW aligns itself with DL and CO and torques off the Worldperks members.
