Expiration of points

Hi all, I think on the Amtrak site it says that points will expire three years after your last Amtrak trip. What about point accrual through the MBNA Amtrak credit card ??? Would this prolong the expiration date or do you have to book a trip once every three years to keep your points alive ???

Thanks.

Steve,

Based upon what I'm reading in the TOC, points coming from the credit card are not sufficient to keep your account from expiring. The TOC specifically states that the member must purchase travel on Amtrak within a three year period.

So book a short trip if you are getting close.

Hey, AlanB,
Have you ever heard of the Allenby Bridge linking Israel & Jordan by any chance?

Can't say that I recall hearing about it.
