Lounge access when upgraded
Newbie question for Amtrak status. I used a coupon to upgrade to Acela first from business. When I scanned into the lounge in Moynihan train hall, it seems to have deducted a lounge access coupon. Is lounge access not included with an upgraded ticket?

Lounge access is included regardless of whether you paid for First or used an upgrade. I would call and speak to someone at AGR. Good Luck.

I got in the same way the OP did. As a matter of fact I was NYP/WAS in coach on the NER, with a return upfront in Acela. Since I was in first on the way home (same day) they allowed me lounge access.

Did they deduct a lounge access coupon for you? Just trying to organize my facts before I call. My upgraded trip never posted points either.
