Is It Possible to Book a Multi-City Itinerary on Points?

If I choose multi-city at Amtrak.com, the points option seems to disappear. So is it possible? Even if it is possible, I probably wouldn't want to pay a points penalty where each segment is calculated separately, vs. the through paid fare I could book via multi-city.

Thanks...

You can, but not on the website.

You are correct in that points booking is only available on the simple one way and round trip options.

Call AGR and book your itinerary with an agent. They can easily book multi-city. I have an upcoming multi-city AGR reservation myself.

It is yet another demonstration of Amtrak's stellar IT skills.
