what to do with 16000 AGR points?

I don't use Amtrak for personal use and I can't convert it to Continental miles since I'm not Select and I haven't spent $200 on Amtrak travel.

Any ideas on what to do with the 16,000 points? I can get the giftcards but that's a 1c per point ratio, seems low. Any ideas?

I would have suggested Coupon Connection on FT, but I see you don't qualify to view it yet. Perhaps someone here has some other ideas.

You could redeem the points for Amtrak tickets for someone else. Do you know anyone who might want to travel Amtrak?

You say you don't use Amtrak for personal use...does this mean you use it for business travel (i.e. your work pays)?

If that is the case you could use your points for upgrades or for club access.

You are correct, I used to use it for business, but now I don't even use it for business anymore (although I may again in the future).

The OP knows this and mentioned it in his post. However $0.01 per point isn't a very good redemption value.

Points

I believe that you can convert it to Hotel Points, Hilton?
You can also get Dining certificates,
Check Rewards on their website.

Oops, Catamaran!
The OP ". . . can't convert it to Continental miles since I'm not Select and I haven't spent $200 on Amtrak travel." The same restriction applies to transfers to Hilton or Choice.
