Cancel Card During Charge Dispute?
My AMEX Business Gold Rewards card is coming up for renewal and my plan was to cancel the card.
Thing is there's an open investigation of a disputed charge that I doubt will be resolved by the card's anniversary (and planned cancel) date.
What if any impact would canceling my card have on that open investigation?
fwwi, the investigation has been slow because the disputed charge was from an overseas vendor (Hertz NZ)

Canceling the card should not affect your dispute whatsoever. Also if you feel uneasy about doing so, you can still cancel once the dispute is resolved and get your prorated fee credit if you've already re-newed.
