Free Binoculars in JFK Centurion Lounge (Amex Platinum & Centurion Holders Only)

Saw this earlier at the Centurion Lounge. CL Receptionist confirmed they are free for Amex Platinum and Centurion card holders to use or to take. Did anyone else know about this? Could be cool for those of you into plane spotting ;P

Do you have a picture of the actual binoculars that are offered?

Yes it's the 1st pic that's on the table. Are the two images visible to you on my OP?

To use in the lounge or take away (home)?

Can I also take a camera or suitcase?

I asked because the binoculars in that image are badly worn and dirty. They look like something purchased used to include in the display of vintage travel paraphernalia (image 2).

Which Amex lounge was it that had these "free" binoculars, the LGA one?

On the placard under the pair of binoculars in the lounge pictured above, there seems to be some mention of contacting reception about something.

And here I thought "raiding the lounge" was limited to food and drink. While I've heard of hotel guests who raided their hotel rooms for linens, bedding items, fixtures and furnishings, I wasn't aware of that being a thing going on in airport lounges with lounge guests.

your choice.

If you want to keep it, must notify the receptionist.
