I got that too - have a hotel stay coming up that's only $140 after taxes. Might gamble and purchase a gift card at the hotel and see if I can have it charged to the room....

Physical gift cards purchased at a front desk have generally worked for these types of Marriott offers, so if you're at a property that sells gift cards in the first place, just buy a $200 GC and then use $140 of it to pay for the room.
