MR to Aeroplan: to transfer or not prior to new 2020 program launch?
As evident from all other recent program changes, points earning becomes much harder (expenditure-based as opposed to distance, for example) after changes. This implies that today's points become more valuable tomorrow, assuming redemption charts stay the same for base redemptions. With that in mind, thinking aloud here, wouldn't it be wise to transfer MR points into Aeroplan now prior to the new program launch? What are your thoughts? The transfer may no longer be 1-to-1 after the launch.
