So why do you need your statement/bill to be mailed to you?

When did I say that I need it to be mailed to me? I said I like to review it before I pay it. I never said I need to review the hard copy, I login to the website and review all the charges online before paying it online.

If you can review charges in real time, there's no need to "review everything on there," at the end of each month.

Except I don't feel like checking every day and prefer to check all at once then pay my bill in full at the end of the month.

How does any of this prohibit you from setting up auto pay for the minimum payment due (1% of your balance), in the event you’re too busy to check for an entire month after the statement closes?

It doesn't. You are beating a dead horse.

The point here is that you can review after you pay. If there is a dispute and you win you will get the money back.

I guess the only difference here is cash flow. Also you might be less motivated to actually check if you don't have a payment due soon (easier to procrastinate).

Personally, I do what you do. I don't like automatic payment either -- I prefer to know what's going on, and that's best done by doing it manually.
