A couple of years ago, on Amex Plat, I got a small initial offer. Called back -- that offer seemed to have gone away. Called back again -- still no offer, small or otherwise. Called back (4th call): Got a small offer not quite as small as the first small offer. Bit on that one.

And why am I writing all of this? Because then the initial small offer posted, too.

Business Platinum, held for 2 years now. Spend of ~$1,500 this year. Called the number on the back of the card after the annual fee hit. Told there was no offers because I got a $100 credit last year. Was offered to convert to the Business Gold. Cancelled.

DP: PRG, first anniversary. Called in July few weeks before AF posted, offered $50 immediately and another $50 after some spend, decided to wait. Called again few weeks after AF posted, got no retention offer whatsoever, cancelled the card.

Amex Platinum Personal. Called after 2nd anniversary AF posted. Offered 10k points with no spend. Rep said I had no other offers because I took advantage of a spending bonus offer a year ago. $6k spend in last year. Accepted.

Have had the SPG AMEX personal for over 10 years. Spend over the past 12 months in excess of 200K. Called in to cancel and was told no offers since I was given a $100 statement credit 1 year and 1 week ago.

Personal Platinum, going for third anniversary. Was offered 10,000 MR points, no spend.

Seems insane. I still haven't called in, but if I get blown off I'll turbo-cancel (similar spend).

I just canceled my Business Gold Rewards Card. The annual fee hit my account a week ago.

There was no retention offer available (just $11,000 in spending over the last year), and the representative thanked me for my personal Platinum and Delta credit cards and closed the account. Bummer...

Called in to cancel my PRG today 8/24. Rep gave me the retention offer of $50 dollars statement credit now, then $50 after $500 spend in 3 months.

Barely any spend on the card and I do have a Platinum card as well.

Called to cancel Platinum Business 8/24 after $450 annual fee posted. Very little spend on the card since I got the signup bonus a year ago. Was offered 5000 points. Decided to cancel.

Business Gold

I received no offers on the card. Last year's spend was $30k, this year's spend was $10k.

Most of my spend migrated to the Blue Biz Plus and SPG Biz cards. I told the rep that I moved my Social Media Advertising spend over to an Ink Biz also.

Rep didn't flinch and just send "Well, I guess we'll cancel your card then." I wanted to cancel it anyhow since it was redundant and mostly used for Amex offers, so I went along.
