Has anyone gotten reimbursed for upgrading their seat from E+ to FC? There seemed to be some indication in the previous thread that seat upgrades were no longer credited. It also had posts saying that award accelerator charges were also no longer rimbursed. If so, I guess I'll have to go with the GR.

Anyone recently used it to upgrade Econ to Econ+ seat? Wiki said there are "reports" of it. Wondering if I bank the $$ into registry, or upgrade via my cc directly for the seat bump.

From the WIKI: "PLEASE NOTE: When you establish a gift registry for the first time, it will take 24 hours before the funds in the registry are available to use toward payment of a flight"
FWIW funds were available in less than 24 hours for me. I set up registry around 2:00pm ET yesterday and funds were available at 5:00am this morning. |
It's been 5 business days since i gifted myself $200 with my amex plat and still no reimbursement showing up. Should I be concerned? My amex plat benefits page still shows that I haven't used any of my $200.

Thanks in advance for your data point. I'm looking at a 20k Miles + $500 upgrade from Econ to Polaris and I'd rather burn up Amex credits instead of Ritz since the latter ones I can use for award fee copays later this year. |
