Will Amex extend new account bonus spending period?

guys

does Amex typically extend the 3month duration to earn your bonus points? Had multiple cards during this period and need few more weeks

The offer was 20k points for a 2k spend in 3months

Thx

No. $2,000 is a modest target. Have you confirmed the final date with customer service? How much have you already spent, and how much time remains now?

No they won't.

1. Activate Amazon 3x offer.
2. Buy $x in an Amazon gift card to use later.

Yes in one way maybe, but not in the way you think.

They won't extend it beyond what it initially is, but you may want to check with them exactly what it is, in that they might have made it slightly longer than you thought it would be.

Some facts: Citi states 3 months, but it's actually something like 3 months and 14 days at Citi. Amex states 3 months, but says most members will have a full three months, so that sounds like there might some padding, since most members don't get the card the day it's approved.

Thus it should be worth your trouble to contact Amex and find out by what day the minimum spend must fully have posted, rather than guessing at it, if you're going to be tight.

And that's why, with the original purposes of AOR (App-O-Rama) being pretty dead right now, you shouldn't apply for a bunch of cards once, since there's only spending headaches downside and no upside to it, compared to spreading out the applying for the same number of cards.

For what card? The customer service #s are different for different cards!

The customer service # on my Business Rewards Gold is 1-800-327-2777 (int'l collect 623-492-7719), while the customer service # on my Business Delta Platinum is 1-800-297-6200 (int'l collect 336-393-1111), and the customer service # on my Everyday (no AF) card is 1-800-635-5955 (int'l collect also 336-393-1111).

If you can log in to Amex site and go to your card, maybe they'll have the specific customer service number for it there? Or maybe you can call one of the "wrong" ones and get transferred around, I dunno.

Any personal CSR can answer questions about any card you have that you call about not only the number on the one, Same with business Open.

The problem you may run into if you don't have the card with you is if they ask for the four digit code or the three digit code on the back, which they often do.
