1.5 MR for individual purchases $5,000+ with USA Business Centurion & Platinum
I know this was mentioned on another thread, but I think this announcement is significant and deserves it's own thread.
Amex announced that U.S. Business Platinum and Centurion Business accounts will now earn 1.5 Membership Rewards points for all single purchases over $5,000. The maximum bonus MR points is 1,000,000 per calendar year.
This is a biggie for me as I will certainly hit 1,000,000 bonus points in a calendar year so this has a minimum value of $10,000 to me.

I just checked and I have 1.5x points posting beginning 10/6. I have already earned over 150,000 1.5x points. Not sure if that means an additional 50,000 (.5) or 150,000. Anyway, I'm a happy camper!
To see the bonus points, just log into your account click on "available points" in the Membership Rewards category, then click on "Activity Detail".

1.5X MR on $5K+ purchases - has anyone received yet?
I have yet to receive any of the advertised "1.5X Membership Rewards points per dollar on each qualifying purchase of $5,000" for my AMEX Business Platinum card.
I average about $40K per month on these large purchases and have contacted cs twice about this this. Was told it would take five days to research issue which has come and gone. Just curious if anyone else had received any of these points yet.

Thx, I did actually try to search. 1.5 was too short a term and I couldn't find this thread with my other attempts.
Looks like at least some others aren't having the issues I am with bonus points posting. CS confirmed they were eligible so don't know what the problem is.

If the underlying $5,000+ transaction has more than 1 MR multiplier (e.g., I buy a $5,000 first class ticket on AMEX travel getting 25,000 MR, or a $10,000 cruise getting 20,000 MR), is the 1.5 on the base amount or the multiplied amount (in my example, would I get 2,500 bonus MR on the $5,000 ticket, or 12,500)?
