$240 AMEX ASPIRE +
around $5400 on Chase reserve.

Let's see if this triggers the $240 reimbursement.

so the $240 is now listed as
"Misc. Charge Order (Mco)/Prepaid Ticket Auth." as document type. Would this trigger the reimbursement? I don't see the meter move yet.

Not sure, but please report back! Does seem to take a couple of days for the meter to move and credit to appear.

Can someone confirm if this will trigger the credit

Book refundable $485 Flight on Delta.com
Use 30K Miles to take of $300 using the Pay with Miles feature (ability to redeem SkyMiles at 1cpp, requires DL credit card),
Pay the remaining balance of $185 with my AmEx Platinum card?

If you're planning to cancel this tix, would the total price get refunded or the miles portion get converted back to miles?

NYchurner Aug 19, 2019 1:51 pm

my miles were refunded

MNSWEEps Aug 19, 2019 1:57 pm

NYchurner and what happens to the $185 if you cancel? won't it go back to Amex and you may get clawed back on reimbursement?

I booked a ticket with points and paid $18 of taxes using my AMEX Plat Personal. It got refunded

I had the taxes/fees on an international award reservation credited three days later. The transaction was labeled "Additional Collection."

Other DPs suggest the amount you charge should ideally be $100 or less -- certainly not over $200.
