American Express offers in other countries are not important to USA cardholders. What is important is that $1=1 point=1 Avois is readily available in the USA from several other card issuers. American Express competes with those issuers, not with itself in another country.

So this sucks that ratio is going down. But I'm wondering if I should let it hinder me from pooling MR points. Right now I have TYP with Premier/Prestige, but I want access to BA. I know UR has access, but CSP only has up to 2X multipliers. With the EDP, I can gain so much more points per month (I crunched numbers, one month I get twice as many points on EDP + PRG versus CSP + Freedom!!!!). Plus, I can use amex travel to book travel for work. So I'm wondering if it's worth it to still get MR even though BA transfers are devalued since I can potentially earn the most travel points with MR....

Assuming no category bonuses:
$20,000 = 20,0000 SPG = 25,000 Avois
-is better than-
$20,000 = 30,0000 MR = 24,000 Avois
-is better than-
$20,000 = 20,000 UR = 20,000 Avois
... but adjusting for your spending mix is likely to alter your ranking, which may not be the same as another person's ranking.

You mentioned EDP which I believe means Everyday Preferred, and I assumed you were making 30 transactions per month which earns a 50% bonus. I did not include any category bonuses, such as supermarkets.

Thank you! So now accounting for category bonuses....
I did some number crunching on my June and July totals. On roughly $20,000 spend if the trends continued:
June: SPG would net 20,000 points (25000 avios), CSP would net 25936 points (25936 avios), EDP 48757 points (39006 avios).
July: SPG would net 20,000 points (25000 avios), CSP would net 29914 points (29914 avios), EDP 38209 points (30567 avios).
So it seems like I'd get the most Avios from the EDP....more if I pair it with a PRG (esp. because restaurants are one of my higher categories)...even with the devaluation.
That being said, I'm really liking the sound of MR on account of the above, plus I may be redeeming for other airlines, PLUS I also have TYP and I could combine from the multiple programs into SQ....
