Using AMEX MR points for LAX-PAR-LAX in Business

We have an abundance of AMEX MR points and want to fly from LAX to Paris in Sept 2015 in Business Class. Any suggestions for the smartest/cheapest way to get a Business Class seat on an itinerary with no more than one stop?
Many thanks,
Elizabeth

Welcome to FlyerTalk… your post has been moved to the dedicated AmEx MR forum for better feedback. Good luck.

Welcome to Flyertalk.

If you are willing to make a connection you can essentially fly any airline, and you will need to narrow the choices some. This thread is a bit old, and some details are obsolete, but read it to understand some of the tradeoffs.

You want to fly LAX to CDG or ORY. Some times in pays not to use your MR points. You just missed a very good First/Biz fare that was $600 round trip plus taxes on AA/BA that was in the millage run forum for less than $1300 total and was bookable for all dates in 2015 with a 3 day min. You had to get a little creative as I do not think you could have started out of LAX but very near LAX but certainly have returned to LAX

Look at transferring to Delta, but you'll probably want to do it before the transfer limits go into effect 1/1/15.
