Could one walk between the South and North Terminal and remain purely airside? If so , how many minutes does it take to walk the terminals? Or are there airside shuttles between the south and north terminals?

No, there is a connector between Concourse D (South Terminal) and Concourse E in the Central terminal, but to my knowledge that is as far as one can go within the secure area. I seldom use the South Terminal, but you can see the solid black lines that I believe represent barriers which prevent passing between concourses E F G H and J.

Look at this larger map:

This one shows the details of the North Terminal Skytrain:

It will be the former British Airways lounge, as mentioned in documents linked posts 1 and 4.
If I recall correctly the former A Wing British Airways Lounge is rather small, it had a First Class section holding around 20 and a Larger 60 person Capacity Terraces area. Hope Amex Centurion also secured some additional space.

A lot depends on how serious is Amex in scaling their lounge operations. If they decide to have more than 20x and go global, they could tie up with a few airlines and generate some meaningful revenue and these would become cheaper than their partnerships with AA/US and UA.

The club will be quite large at over 30,000 square feet.

BA is also opening a new lounge at MIA in the low D gates.

I don't see how this is possible. American Express has only leased 8,500 square feet at MIA.

There is a wormhole in the lounge that brings guests to another location.

If I could choose the location it would justify the Platinum Card's annual fee .

The AMEX website is still showing a late 2014 opening date. Is that still accurate?

Actually, it says "Early 2015" in the official Centurion Lounges (TM) site.
