I wonder how much the AA and US Airways partnership costed to them, and if they are "saving" spending all that money in new Lounges.

Official Miami-Dade Legislative Item can be found here or if you fancy, the full 77 page PDF version. Decisioning scheduled for 6 May 2014

Annual rents are somewhat comparable to DFW Airport Proposal:

  • DFW Airport: $890,000 for 8,900 square feet ($100/sq ft)
  • Miami International: $1,000,000 for 8,500 square feet ($118/sq ft)

I'm really happy to hear this.i fly though MIA often. This will make a big difference with the loss of use of the AC.

This site asserts it will be near Gate D12 in the North Terminal. (Linked diagram shows existing Admirals Club locations.)

Correct, but there are three other lounges accessible to American Express Centurion and Platinum cardholders:

  • Concourse F: Club America (Priority Pass)
  • Concourse H: Delta Skyclub (if flying DL)
  • Concourse J: VIP Lounge Miami (Priority Pass)
