I got the AA Citi Exec card for the lounge access and have switched all my spend to that card to try for the 10,000 EQM. AmEx offered me an additional $100 toward AA spend. I called and asked for more based on how much spend I had put on the card and they could have cared less. So for now keeping the AmEx Plat open, but no longer using it to charge anything.
