Transfer Rate Membership Rewards to Starwood

Can someone please tell me what the current rate is for transferring Amex Membership Rewards to Starwood? Is it 2:1?

Trying to decide on whether to apply for the Amex Gold Rewards card
or the SPG Amex.

My ultimate goal is to get the most Alaska Airline miles I can get.

Canada

My Membership Rewards CANADA page shows:

Transfer Points

1,000 Membership Rewards points is equal to 500 Starpoints

A minimum of 1,000 points can be transferred to this Participant

Cheers.

Both are correct. USA 1000:333, Canada 1000:500

I assume this is not generally considered a good deal? I stay in Starwood hotels mostly, and am a little disappointed in the transfer rate. It seems like 1:1 airline transfers are the only really good deal... but am happy to be corrected if I'm missing something.

Correct. The Membership Rewards transfer rates are set to not undercut the Hilton and Starwood affinity cards. If you want to earn Starpoints, use an SPG credit card.
