I ended up with $177 back, excluding the value of shared gift cards and dealrunner (which I value at zero). My best was $50 shareable amex gift card.

STINKY. I went the postcard route. Didn't buy anything but sent in postcards as permitted. Was supposed to get the same access as those people purchasing things. I ended up with 8 $2 statement credits and 4 1 year memberships. BFD. Barely paid for the postage.

Did you use 4 different amex cards? You're only supposed to get 1 shoprunner membership per card...

Amex email states:

Statement credits will be issued by January 8, 2012 but may take up to 2 billing cycles to post to your account.

I have teens that are into gaming so I've bought four separate $25 GameStop GC's on four consecutive days, so far I think my luck has been outstanding as I've received the following gifts:

1 $10 statement credit
1 $25 statement credit
2 $20 GameStop gift cards

Taking all that into account for $65 out of pocket I'll be getting $140 in GameStop GC's.

I have 12 Amex cards and made 120 purchases of $25.

Total gift haul is around $2,300 worth but I'm missing a few gifts thus far. This will be a HUGE mess to figure out if everything posts OK, but hey I'll take the free stuff

The two best individual gifts I received were 10,000 MR and $50 Amex GC plus share with three friends. The worst were $2.25 statement credits. I choose to shop at stores that didn't offer shoprunner as an option.

I just purchased something from Walmart.com, and like others, got a $2 statement credit. It's not much, but I guess it's better than nothing.

5. Walmart - $2 statement credit
6. Zappos - $20 statement credit
7. Bed Bath and Beyond - $2 stmt credit
8. Rue La La - $5 stmt credit

Looks like BBB is in rollover gifts now.

Posts containing referral links have been transplanted to this thread:

Please do not insert referral offers into general discussion threads. (In general Flyertalk referral offers are hosted as congas in the S.P.A.M. forum. I created a referral offer thread with in this forum because that model does not work well for credit card applications, although it would work for this promotion.)

Whoops, sorry MIA. Won't link anymore. Anyways, here's what else I was saying.

WM, REI, and BBB are all in rollover mode, so on the first purchase you will get a Shoprunner, and every additional purchase you will get a $2 Statement, no matter what. That's all the gifts that are left for those retailers. I haven't bought anything from Rue La La in about 4 days, but last I got was a $10 Shareable. I'm spent on gifts, and have used all my Am Ex's.

Total haul so far-
Total spent: $727.99
Total gifts' cash value: $593 (does not include 2 Shoprunners and MR pts valued VERY conservatively at 1 cent per point to make calculation easier)
Total cost: $135.24
Saved ~81%
Total $25+ transactions: 28
Bulk of prizes (20 of them) came from yoyo.com and zappos.com
