Tried this site a number of times for AMEX, Capital One, MBNA. Received money by cheque and via paypal without any problem. One time I even got a Sony camera on top of the $60 rebate cheque

A camera on top of a rebate? That sounds like a great deal.

As far as churning goes does anyone have an approx time to be able to re-apply for a card with AMEX Canada? I cancelled a Air Miles Plat AMEX (which I basically used for one round of golf and then said thanks for the 500 miles bonus) and it still appears on my online signin after approx three months.

http://www.greatcanadianrebates.ca/details/Amex-Gold/

This is a link where you can sign uo for the AMEX Gold Rewards card 15k sign up bonus as well as first year free (same as every web aplicaton available)

The bonus is they offer you a $60 cash rebate for signing up through them.

*I haven't tried it yet but might cancel my gold card soon and try before the promo end (Jan 26th 2012)

If anyone has any experience with this rebate website please share.

Miles
Did this a few days ago. Approved on the spot. About 48h later my great canadian rebates account showed a $60 credit. Should post to paypal next month.

When canceling, did American Express offer anything to you to "keep" the card?

I have the Business Rewards card, but my company's name has changed, and they said that I must cancel and re-apply... otherwise, I would have just changed over the name! (Both are Sole Proprietorships!)

As an addition, I tried to start a Conga for GCR a while back... it's a great site for all Canucks (better than MrRebates in my opinion)

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/s-p-m...nup-bonus.html is the thread which I started with my referral link: http://www.GreatCanadianRebates.ca/register/123938/

They sure do but these offers don't come close to what a new card gets you with the signup bonus.

I think it will always appear -- you have to remove it through the menus at left. I think I read another post somewhere that said this. I removed my cancelled AeroGold from the view. I cancelled it 2 months ago -- do you think it's safe to apply again yet?

I found out how to remove it. Thanks, I thought it would just disappear.

I haven't re-applied for the same card as of yet. I went SPG AMEX, AMEX GOLD then now have PLAT.

About time to cancel SPG as annual fee is about to kick in.

I understand that a card should be kept for at least 3 statement cycles which will guarantee the R1 rating on your credit history. Otherwise it may get stuck with R0. Creditor should be able in this time frame to report to the rating credit agency of your usage.

Any creative way of charging the minimum spend on Amex Biz?

How do you remove cancelled cards? I currently have 4 cancelled ones wasting space on my Amex account page.

Thanks!

Look for 'All account services' on the bottom of the left hand tool bar.

Click on it.

Next look for 'Online services' which will be the top right square.

Click on 'remove a card you manage online'

The next screen will have a list of all your cards, highlight the bullet for the card you want to remove and below will be the 'romove' buttom.

Presto card removed.

And let the new applications begin...
