"Centennial Edition" AA Exec Card

As seen on aa.com homepage (only when logged in?)

Is this actually a new card design, or just a graphic? I presume there's not actually a new card.

Edit: Personal Citi Cards will get the new design: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/37518588-post9.html

I saw this "Centennial Edition" Citi/AA Platinum Select card on today's flight (1/1/2026), on the back page of inflight entertainment menu, which show as January 2026 edition. It does looks cool as I am holding the regular version of this card. I'll try to contact Citi to see if they would have me a replacement card in Centennial Edition.

I'd love if AA/Citi came out with a design like the Delta Reserve 747 card from a few years ago. This looks kinda tacky

I saw it earlier today when logged in. IIRC, it was used as an image next to a link for one of my AA card benefits, although I don't have the Executive.

Tangentially related, after updating the app, I'm seeing more centennial branding:

I've seen the branding on and off when I've added boarding passes to my Google Wallet for about a month now.

I saw the "Centennial" version of the AA Platinum credit card on my flight this afternoon as well.
Upon checking with Citi, the representative shared with me that "The Centennial Version may have been an update from American Airlines but it is yet to come to Citi."

From the link above: To celebrate Americans centennial milestone, starting today for a limited time, all new and reissued Citi / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Elite Mastercard, Citi / AAdvantage Globe Mastercard and Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard credit cards will feature an exclusive commemorative design showcasing Americans centennial logo.

So I wonder what the process is to have our card reissued with the new design? I just got a new card last month because of Citi's wonderful ability to protect from fraud (3rd time this year I've had to get a new card...) so I wonder if there is a way to get it reissued but keep the same number so I don't have to update everything again?

I requested a replacement for a "damaged" card, it keeps the same card number

Thanks for the tip! Can you confirm once you get it that it is the new design?

I just called Citi, and after the phone agent put me on hold for about 15 minutes to speak with a manager, I was informed that my new card design should arrive in 1-2 business days.
