Bumped from MCE...Why?
Flying tomorrow, PHL-SAN, AA690. Had seat 9D since booking. After check-in, got bumped to 12C (non MCE). What are some possible reasons for this? Someone with more status and/or running LP's? I'm currently EXP with about 112k current LP's. Something else?
And, apologies if there's already a thread on this.

You won't be bumped for someone with more status or LPs.
A few possibilitiies are
A few possibilitiies are
- Equipment swap - Aircraft type change. Sometimes, the system glitches and reassigns seats even if the swap is to the same type. Someone may have been looking and snapped up 9D
- Broken seat - Unlikely this early though
- FAM - Air Marshall. In which case, you're stuck.

Flight Number and Date?
Sounds a bit like an unathorized favor to a friend (or accommodating a manager) if you were deported to a different class of seat (and did you get a fare adjustment)?
