Travel Receipts

As a biz traveler, I need travel receipts in order to get reimbursed. Back in the day, the kiosks offered a receipt option - no longer. Then, an online printed version of the travel itinerary included a receipt - no longer. There's a convoluted way to obtain a receipt on the AA website, but you need the Ticket number (only have the Confirmation #). BTW, you should see the faces of GA when I request a receipt . Anyway, can somebody guide me to a simple way to obtain a travel receipt? Much appreciated.

Instead of asking a gate agent, I would ask an agent at the ticket counter.

Huh? Every trip I purchase through AA.com:

A) emails me with a "trip confirmation and receipt"
B) has a link on the PNR on AA.com to "print trip and receipt"

95% of my travel is for business, with receipts required to be submitted. This is not at all a problem I encounter

The link on the PNR on AA.com is now "Print Trip" - no receipt included.

Do you not have the email receipt of when you originally bought the ticket?

That is what I use. Fortunately, we now have a web based expense system where all I have to do is forward that email to a specific email address and the receipt is in our system.

It seems inconsistent. Despite booking on aa.com, some trips I only see 'print trip' on the left side bar. On others, I see option to 'print trip and receipt'. I don't understand why this is, but I guess in those cases where you don't see the receipt you have to call or send a twitter (X) DM to ask them to email you a receipt. Or, as others mentioned, it would be in your original email confirmation. Sometimes I'll just search my email for the trip PNR and find it pretty easily that way.

I blame the new UI rollout, very inconsistent in terms of who gets it and where.

^The "Print Trip and Receipt" function is broken. It works only intermittently. Sometimes the system seems to understand that it is not serving the document, and it reverts to "Print Trip" which in turn yields an unwieldly 10-page ramble of various advertisement pictures and poorly-designed white spaces. Other times, it opens a new page with a bunch of HTML error code. Rarely, the function does what it is supposed to produce -- a one page, formatted ticket itinerary and receipt, including the (necessary for many passengers) ticket number and price.

AA, please fix this.

Have you actually let AA know about this issue? Or are you hoping AA will see this on here and fix it?
