Award Travel on Mixed BA/AA Refund/Cancel Policy

I have an award reservation on hold for NCE-LHR in Business on BA connecting to LHR-DFW on AA in Premium Economy. The fare rules state:

CHANGES REQUIRE A REINSTATE/CLAIM AND UNLESS AN EXCEPTION IS LISTED REINSTATEMENT CHARGES MAY APPLY

What does this mean? Does the AA policy for cancelling award tickets and redepositing miles without a fee/charge apply to this ticket or not?

Completely disregard whatever the "fare rules" say for award tickets, they haven't been updated in ages.

ALL awards booked with AA miles can be cancelled for no fee for a full refund of miles and taxes/fees. You just have to cancel before the scheduled departure time of the first flight.

Cancel/reinstate for no fee… but no changes allowed after booking, only cancelling and then rebooking a brand new ticket.

Thanks in advance from a "usually *A guy"

Thanks everyone, does this include ALL fees (British Govt premium cabin "departure tax", fuel surcharges etc., etc.)?

I am looking at a first class award ticket on BA LHR-LAX using AA miles that I may need to subsequently cancel (before departure of course).

Would I get miles and all $$ back?

Thanks in advance from a "usually *A guy"
