Nothing for me (ha), but wife who was Plat Pro and is currently sitting at 43k LPs has an offer to buy up to Plat for $1595, which seems like a reasonable price for someone who values OneWorld Sapphire and who is that far away. (Wife will survive just fine as a gold.)

Current EXP with 77k LP. My travel did pick up later in 2022 including some paid domestic F. Offer is Plat Pro for $2200.

EP with ~174.5K LPs. Offered EP renewal at $2,319, which is almost exactly the air spend required to get the additional loyalty points at the 11 miles/$ I earn as an EP. I suspect buy-up offers are to the tier above what you've already qualified for and at what you'd have to spend on airfare to get the same number of LPs.

Sorry....where is that link/offer located? I can't make anything come up with status.aa.com.

Is it inside your advantage account? Or did you receive in an email?

Edit: Got it to work. Not a good deal for me. Currently Plat at ~ 109K LPs. Offer is $2,999 to Plat Pro. At ~ 16K short, I can make that up with a couple RM hotel bookings for ~ $600.00.

Plat Pro with 160K, buy up to EXP is $4,155. With $4,155 I can get 150K from Rocketmiles so not a good deal for me.

Plat Pro with 168K, buy up to EXP is $3,379. Curious if it will go down after my LP's start posting later this month. As it is I think I can get there via flights, rocket-miles, and cc spend.

In past years, these offers usually made no sense financially. This year they do make a little more sense, as they let you do just the airfare spend without actually flying. I do have to wonder how many who couldn't hit the target in 14 months will fly enough in the next 12 to realize the value of the higher status.

Current EP with 161882 LPs. No further flights have been booked for FEB. Refuse to play the Credit card game (value Chase points much more than AA). Offered 2300 USD or 232000 miles to retain EP. Hard pass. I'm happy with Pro emerald status as I'm based overseas and very rarely fly domestically US. If I do, will purchase J. The only loss I will mourn is EXP phone line.

I'm 685 LPs short of platinum. My offer is $315 or 31.5k miles for platinum. As soon as my AA card LPs post (today or tomorrow) I'll be platinum.

nearly identical. Current EXP with 90k. Offer is $2k. I expect my travel to pick up significantly this upcoming year, so I may bite.

I'm plat, but only 32.5K so far. My offer was to retain plat for $1639 or 164K miles. I'm better off settling for gold and saving that money for the upcoming year.

When is the expiration date of these offers? Can you buy up anytime between now and 3/31/24?
Currently gold with 38K LP's. $1300 to buy PLT.
