How’s AMS recently

Considering flying Ams -Phl end of Nov but obviously very concerned after all the stories this summer. Not sure if things are better and if flying Biz helps with wait times to clear security etc
other option is to fly out of London and avoid ams all together but it’s such a great city to visit

While not just about American, there's a Facebook group called "Expats enjoying Dutch Airport Queues" that seems to be a good place to read about how things are doing at Schiphol.

And most of the reports I've read there say that things have gotten a lot better, with people regularly getting through the whole process in under an hour (and often much less than that). While it's possible to hit a bad day, in general it seems that the horror stories of the summer are in the past.

In November I wouldn't worry at all as travel will be down a lot from summer - especially if ExPlay and/or in business.

I spent maybe 15 minutes total in security on Saturday and didn’t even use my Privium. It’s improving.

If you have access to the priority security lines, AMS isn't bad. Last month it took me about 20 minutes to get thru, flying home to the US on a flight originating there. The regular security lines were much longer.

Was there last week (October 20, 2022).
Arrived 8am, drop-off bags took 5min, cleared security in 10 min.
(flying KLM to Stockholm, economy, no status on Flying Blue).

Have been there 3 times in last two weeks. No waits to speak of to pass thru security. Immigration arriving sucked and was about 45 min but not end of the world. Immigration leaving was busy but maybe 20 min in line and they pulled people out who had close connections.

Are there separate business class lines for Oneworld or Star Alliance, or is the priority line only for Skyteam passengers?
