Ticket Jackets
I'm chilling at home watching an old rerun of Home Alone 2 and noticed the classic 90s American Airlines ticket jackets with the Avis ad printed on the back. It made me super nostalgic. I mostly use electronic boarding passes these days, but seeing that made me remember the rigid first class paper ticket jackets from back in the day. It was such a small expense on a per passenger basis but really added so much to the luxury feel of the whole experience. What do you all think? Miss the ticket jackets? Or glad they're now long gone?

So is it acceptable to miss the folders and also understand why we don’t need them anymore?
I only use my iPhone boarding pass now, but I’m (just) old enough to remember when multiple copies of the ticket—with all the connecting flights, to be torn out by the respective agents along your journey—were stapled into the folder. And then you stuck what was left into the inside pocket of your blazer.
I also miss the blazers but I guess I understand why we don’t need those for travel either …

Back in the early 90s, or so, AA had very nice ticket jackets for flagship First (White). And Flagship Business (Grey). They were fairly thick cardboard-ish They were horizontal and the top opened up.

I have a collection of Intl First class jackets from my past travels on JL, SQ, CX, LH, DL, TWA.
They're like brag tags when you have one showing in your pocket while standing in boarding group 5 waiting to board
I've tried using them to get into lounges but the agents just look at me funny

I'd argue even the grey coach ticket jackets were reasonably elegant, even if not as spiffy as the First or Envoy ones. Only the red MetroJet jackets were kind of brash, and more like AA's colorful ones.

Another inconsequential problem, but still... One of my biggest gripes is when the Airlines want to rip off the main part of the boarding pass and leave you with the tiny stub. I used to keep a mobile boarding pass to avoid this on BA, but seems TK are horrendous offenders. Mobile pass mostly worked for them too.
