I appreciate that Lufthansa still has a nice boarding pass jacket when flying in F. Does any other airline still do that?

Wouldn't be environmentally friendly in today's world.

Another inconsequential problem, but still... One of my biggest gripes is when the Airlines want to rip off the main part of the boarding pass and leave you with the tiny stub. I used to keep a mobile boarding pass to avoid this on BA, but seems TK are horrendous offenders. Mobile pass mostly worked for them too.
Usually I pretend I lost mine so they reprint me a copy that I give them to tear |
About a week or two ago, there was a thread (it may have been in the UA forum) where someone couldn't get through security because the desk at an outstation ran out of paper to print boarding passes. Be careful what you wish for.

Nowadays, for most of my flights, I save a PDF copy of the boarding pass when checking in online so I can have something available in case I need to claim miscredited mileage. |

AA never had elegant ticket jackets. However, US Airways had beautiful ones for First Class and Envoy Class.

I recommend passengers stuff their cell phones with electronic boarding pass inside of a discarded ticket jacket they saved from 2005.

Not true. They had silver "flagship" ticket jackets for several years in the early 1990s. Very substantial and elegant.

These were definitely the ones in use in the early 2000s. Probably last got one around 2005.

Ticket jackets are available in the American Way magazine in your seat front pocket

I don't think I've seen an airline one in over a decade, but I've taken and kept many train ticket ones from JR. (I'm sure I have some more somewhere, these were just nearby at my desk).

The Air Canada Concierge Office handed me my paper boarding passes in a stationery envelope, does that count?
