Avios compensation on AA? AA moans
I flew AA yesterday (J from MIA-LAX) and we didn't have working IFE, WiFi or at seat power which was a bit of a pest mainly because I couldn't charge my phone for a few hours after landing. We were sat on the ground for 90 minutes while they tried to resolve the fault.
Are AA likely to offer any form of compensation for this to a BAEC member? This was part of a BAH booking.
Just anecdotal and not something I'd formally write in about the experience wasn't great. I was sent away from Flagship check in to a kiosk (BA Gold). That didn't work so I returned and was eventually grudgingly let in after the lady consulted a colleague.
Additionally, when I got to my seat there were no headphones but the other seats had them provided(we didn't know at this point the IFE was broken.)
I was given a pair with no case and returned to my seat. After napping for a couple of hours I was shaken and woken by an FA wanting to know what I'd done with my headphone case. I explained groggily and got a grunt in response.
One of the food options wasn't available (they didn't tell us that initially it was just omitted from the options the FA offered) nor was dessert offered to anyone.
I got there safely and the world is still spinning but sometimes things can take the shine off a decent experience.

As mentioned, you'll likely get AA miles as compensation, but I'd encourage you to write it up...sounds like a very subpar experience all the way around.
