DFW to KEF question

Haven't ever had to do this, but it looks like the awards flights from DFW to KEF require changing airports in NY - coming into LGA or EWR, then leaving from JFK to LHR then on to KEF. Am I responsible for getting myself from LGA/EWR to JFK, or do they have some kind of shuttle? If not then I guess I'll have to swallow the extra $200 or so per ticket in fees.

I miss the days when the fees were reasonable. Haven't used my miles in YEARS...now the fees are like 1/2 the price of just buying the ticket outright!

The ground transfer between airports is your responsibility. LGA-JFK will be faster and cheaper than EWR-JFK.

Thanks. Will probably just buy the tickets and see about upgrade award instead. Also purchased ticket has a more desirable routing (DFW-LHR-KEF).

There is a shuttle bus between LGA and JFK that's quite cheap and easy.

What change fees? There are no change fees. The only cost in changing tickets would be fair increase

The airline imposed fees for using AA miles on BA are well known.
