Amex Travel-Special Fare?

Amex Travel-Special Fare?
When booking a flight and hotel pkg thru Amex travel, does it code as a special fare? If so, how can one determine if the pkg is a special fare or not, like expedia explicitly says “special fare” and aavacations shows an asterisk next to the flight’s fare code.

I haven't found very many actual hotel and flight package fares on AmexTravel.com, personally.

I’ve had it always post regular for “insider fares” even though AA rez seems to call it special since it has a normal fare basis with a designator.
