June 2021 EQM/EQD Boosts
I just got offers in my account for:
- Free EQD (3,000 for EXP/CK, 1500 for PPro, 1000 for Plat, 500 for Gold)
- Free EQM Boosts (1,000 extra per segment for EXP/CK, 750 for PPro, 500 for Plat, 250 for Gold)
- The ability to purchase EQM (10K for EXP/CK, 7.5K for PPro, 5K for Plat, 2.5K for Gold) for $495

Very interesting. Seems to be largely matching recent UA PQP promotions. 
Do you have to pick between one option?

EQMs are not an issue at all for me. It is the EQD shortage which is an issue... I am close to finally getting the EQDs needed to cross over to PlatPro. If I wait to register until I hit PlatPro, I wonder if I would get the higher amount for PlatPro or if this is already locked in at 1000 free EQD.
EDIT: I guess it's locked at your current status level.

So basically a further reduction in the EQD requirement, to $9k for EXP. The 1k extra EQM per segment doesn't really move the needle for me.

In theory, it could make sense to wait as long as possible to register for this one until I find myself on an waitlist close to departure in order to maximize the 12 month rolling EQD upgrade priority.
But could AA pull the promo before 8/31 if I wait too long?

I think this is a great gesture by AA. Every frequent flyer status level got a FREE boost with EQDs, and also possibly EQMs dependent on flying patterns. And with the CC waiver for spend up to PP, there's not much to complain about. I saw the promotions in my account, and registered. Very welcome indeed!

Regardless, the EQDs will be helpful for hopefully clearing some upcoming flights and the EQMs towards those additional selections.
Now if only they introduced the DL rollover…
