LAX offers PS Private Suite Service via Five Star

American has now joined others like UA that allow you to use LAX Private Suite now called PS. Amex Centurion also offers this service.

It is good to know passengers can pay to get great service at American Airlines.

There's also an option for families now called Five Star Essentials that prices at $149, but is only available at certain hub airports.

Note that PS is available as an "add-on" (obviously), not complimentary.

$1,000 extra for PS on top of the Five Star fee is not a bad deal (compared to the regular pricing).

From the same AA link:
For our customers only
As part of our partnership, you can use PS for just $1,000 as a first-time trial on any international or domestic flight, inbound or outbound, for up to 4 people in a party.

After completing a first-time trial, you'll be eligible for PS exclusive member benefits and reduced prices on future use; plus the $4,500 annual fee will be waived.

Some benefits include:
Access to an individual suite with a private bathroom, food-service pantry, a 2-person daybed, and a view of the runway
Private transfer across the tarmac from PS to the door of the plane
Private on-site TSA screening for departures and private U.S. Customs and Immigration processing for arrivals
Up to 3 complimentary travel companions; non-traveling companions may join for a meeting or send-off at no charge
Complimentary, pre-ordered gourmet dining and meals
Complimentary in-suite manicures, massages, or haircuts
Access to on-site shower spa and amenities
Visit the PS website for a full list of benefits.

Preferred member pricing
$2,700 domestic one-way
$3,000 international one-way

Book up to 6 months in advance, with preferential cancellation and change policies

that is a really great deal for PS at LAX--especially on the annual membership fee which i presume is only for one year!

At the airport maybe. Doesn't help them much once they're in the air though.

I laughed, but also really like the AA Flagship Lounge in T4 (based on pre-Covid experiences).

anyone know if the first time deal on PS at LAX can be used on an AA ticket where the operating carrier is CX? I have a CX F (AA Award LAX-HKG) later this year and was thinking the $1,000 first time deal was pretty good (as compared to standard pricing) but wasn't sure if 5* deal can be added when AA isn't the operating carrier.
