That your card is not gold,
And she's blocking your stairway to heaven.
When you get there she knows
That your access is closed
With no words can you get what you came for
Oh oh oh oh and she's blocking your stairway to heaven.♫

Fortunately, AA still honors my lifetime Admirals Club membership when flying UA, though it is a long trek, requiring two TSA screenings, between Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 -- presuming TSA would even let me into the B gates.

I wouldn't think you'd have an issue. I've gone through TSA at T3 to use the AmEx lounge while flying out of T2 before.

I've done it many times. Only once I can remember being told Virgin America (yes this was a few years ago) is in T2. When I noted to the TSA entry dragon I was going to the Centurion Lounge she looked confused and just waived me on through.

As far as the new AA lounge to anywhere else, the best way may be through the parking lot, as I believe you can't get from the B gates to T2 or to Int'l A directly at this time.

When I was last in T1 a few weeks ago, there was signage up for a walkway to Intl A. It appeared to be open, but I didn't have time to check it out.

Yes, you can now walk from T1 to International A outside of security. Secure walkway has been delayed due to COVID and will be re-evaluated Q3 2021.

It's the new design they are using in other AA lounges. DFW A for sure, and I think D? It's almost a carbon copy.

Delta took steps to do this back in the early to mid 2010s. It made their lounges look cheap, clinical, and generally cold. They finally outgrew that phase and decided to make the newer SCs unique with little nods to their locations. Hopefully AA will also go down that path.

I don't disagree with that, and I feel the same way about those other lounges.

The new concept Admirals Club design is more attractive than those Sky Clubs in my opinion due to generally using wood / warmer colors / a nice design aesthetic for the bar with the blue backsplash. However, once you've been in a few of them, you begin to associate that design with cheese cubes and low quality liquor.
