If it's possible, and because I can't imagine this is really about money, she should sue him personally and insist on filing charges for battery. AA/union should be held responsible to the extent they knew about his pattern of behavior and did nothing about it, but honestly he should personally be on the receiving end of this and experience the pain.

Exactly. This isn’t pro/anti union. If the union were the reason this individual were still employed despite the numerous issues associated with him, they need to accept responsibility and review their internal criteria for who should and should not be let go. Same if this were AA ignoring the problems and keeping this individual employed.

AA fired several FAs who called out sick too many times thanks to severe reactions to the toxic TwinKill uniform. AA is actively punishing and terminating FAs who violate their extremely vague social media policy. An FA with a spotless record, more accolades than you could count and 30+ years of service can be fired for blowing a slide. Yet, this guy who has a "rap sheet" longer than the bible is still employed.
AA is systematically challenged when it comes to discipline. The HR department is operating in 2020 with a staff and mindset from the 70s. Jill Surdik who is the final stop on terminations in the flight service department is operating blind, managing a workgroup which she can't relate to in the slightest. The flaw isn't just the union, though they are part of the problem, it's a woefully inept leadership team on the AA side.

The problem is more complicated than just that.
I fly lots of airlines with unionized FAs and also with some airlines that may as well be considered to be non-unionized in terms of FA’s protection from misbehavior claims made by/via the employer. And while the most verbally aggressive FAs whom I’ve encountered in the past three years have been the FAs of AA and UA, the airlines which take the cake for most aggressive unauthorized physical contact by FAs in my presence: some airlines with far less or even no meaningful FA unions or anything else providing them any meaningful “qualified immunity” to “protect the rotten apples and pretty soon the whole barrel .... down with it” from the employer.

CPD definitely took him into custody at the airport back in 2015. It appears it was some sort warrant but the details to the original charges aren’t listedArrest Search Verification
