Awesome service PHL-MAN - not!

Not that I expect much in J these days, but...

Flew PHL-MAN recently. Declined food, went to sleep under the blanket.

As I dozed off, I heard an FA shout "WATER" at which point a plastic bottle of said beverage promptly landed on my chest.

Keep it classy AA.......

I, for one, praise the FA for their efficiency!

be happy they at least gave you a bottle of water...
then again.. why cant they just leave a bottle in your seat area, like most other OW carriers do?

Question for the lawyers here... is that simple assault, or both assault AND battery?

Why didn't you throw the bottle back?

You may have been joking, but it not..it was likely just battery if the OP was sleeping thus had no reasonable apprehension of immediate physical contact. If he awoke and was aware the bottle was coming towards him, then likely both.

Depends on whether the seat back was hit with the bottle...

I came here expecting to read something good about AA for once.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

If
I'm sleeping and the FA is going to drop something on my chest... they better Shout "Woodfords" wouldn't just putting the Water in the Seat Pocket be better protocol??? RT

Maybe yelling "KOBE" instead of "WATER" would have given the issue a different vibe...?!

I posted a thread a while back detailing my experiences on PHL - MAN in J where the senior FA thought it would be funny to wake me up from a deep sleep to tell me that “this is a no-sleeping” flight.

The flight attendants on that route are lazy and obnoxious and are very well known for their behavior. Sadly I am due to fly on it again this coming Thursday - 🤮

Yeah I’d be annoyed if someone tossed a water bottle on me in business. I’d send a tweet to AA.

Battery? Assault?? LOL god no. How ridiculous to even post that.
