Booking BA via AA.com

All,

I am looking for flights to the UK this spring and as American Platinum Plus always book BA via American Airlines.com for status. I looked today and from SFO-LHR they had many flights and on the outbound there wasn't a single Business Class available for purchase on AA.com. They were open and available on the return. I went to BA.com and there were plenty of Business Seats.

I have never had this experience (book this trip 2x per year) and usually book the late afternoon BA flight and wondered if it was a bug or if you all knew why.

thanks so much
Paige

You don't have to book a BA flight at aa.com to have your AAdvantage/oneworld status honored; just enter your AAdvantage number in the reservation that you make at ba.com.

yes, I am aware of that, but with my AA card I find it easier to deal with AA stateside.
