Additional LAX-HKG Flight (AA513) on 10/27?

Looking at Google Flights and EF for an LAX-HKG itinerary on 10/27, and it's showing two flights...AA513 leaving LAX at 12:05 AM, and then the usual AA193 leaving almost 24 hours later at 11:50PM, both on 77W. Any idea what this extra flight is, and why it's loaded into the schedule?

interesting. EF confirms and the seatmap is non-empty.

before Oct 27, the AA193 operates at 12:55am
and Oct 27, the AA513 is at 12:05am
and Oct 27 aa193 is 11:50pm.

so they use a special flight number to move from after midnight to before midnight?

The simplest answer I can think of is you can’t have two flights with the same number in the same calendar day. You would not be able to get flight status info if you did (amoung other things).

Probably related to the end of Daylight Saving Time - most countries that observe DST seem to "fall back" on 10/27, whereas the US does it a week later. However, Hong Kong doesn't seem to observe it, so not sure if the re-timed flights are as a result of that. Perhaps so as to keep up with connections where other countries/airlines have re-timed their flights before the US has?

The shifting around of 193 before and after midnight causes some days to have two flights when it shifts from after midnight to before, and then skips a day when it shifts from before midnight to after. This particular shift that moves the flight before midnight on the 27th (causing two flights on the 27th) shifts back on 11/2 when there are no flights only to shift again on 11/3 where there are two flights again.
