HND Catering Issues?

On board AA26 HND-LAX in F. FA just announced due to typhoon damage to the local catering facility, there will be no breakfast. ...? Typhoon was last week. Can’t they find an alternative by now?

Anyone heard about this?

Not that I’m aware of. Announcement said that mid flight meal would be breakfast. There was breakfast in F.

EDiT: spoke to purser who confirmed there was full catering and that the announcement was incorrect. He was upset that they handed him that announcement when it was fully catered. Said last week there was no breakfast. Going for great.

Reminds me of the LAX catering issues a few years back. It took them months to get alternate options running properly.

However, a natural disaster is a little different and most people would be a little more forgiving if it was handled correctly (announced as far in advance as possible - preferably days in advance by email/text, and day of flight when people could still buy something on the ground if needed)
