Well, time to get rid of this.

The emails from AA are new, but this was actually announced several days ago, and affects both Citi and Barclay, because it's AA's benefit and AA is doing away with it::

BOOOOOOOOOO on the second count. I love getting my award tickets at 10% fewer miles.

For Aviator Silver card holders, the $25/day in BOB is a nice offset to the loss of 10K miles. Plus we get $50/year in wifi credits as opposed to $25/year for the Red card.

Nice! I was on the fence about renewing this card. Eliminating this benefit puts it well into negative value territory, and makes my decision much easier.

Here's a suggestion. Book tickets now for yourself to cities you might travel to and simply change the travel dates.

I've used about 6,000 miles in benefit this year and plan to max this one out.

I have both the Red Aviator and Plat Select. Aviator to be canceled. Will keep Plat Select as like the car rental coverage (AMEX Plat card does not cover Australia or New Zealand).

My Citi email says April 30, 2019. My Barclay's email says Nov 1, 2019. Since I have both cards, then I am hoping that I have until Nov 1 to get my rebate for this year.

Do they charge for the change of Award travel dates? I'm thinking of Munich next year but the 10% back expires 4/30 and I want to go there in warmer weather.

I agree, though; will probably let this one lapse.

No, there is no charge for change but origin and destination cities must be exactly the same.

Though lot less beneficial for those who are EXP and get a free food and beverage item.

Even not as an EXP, I hardly ever spent money with BOB. Now I'll feel like I need to do that to max out the benefit. Time to start going for food and a cocktail on every flight.
