Travel in premium cabin. Then status doesn't matter.

Recently got three people into Qantas F lounge at LHR by just asking nicely.

Sorry to be pedantic, but QF doesn't operate an F lounge at LHR--their lounge there is a combined J/F lounge. Or did you mean to say one of the other three true F lounges (CX, BA, or AA)?

its possible, but I'd equate it to the ever elusive upgrade from Y to F. Happens once in a while, but wouldn't count on it.

One of my coworkers did it - but the two guests were her two young kids. Probably not quite the same.

Not sure why what QF did at LHR is relavant to what AA might do at one of its Flagship lounges. Any more than asking what the champagne will be on BA tonight and being told what the brandy was on CX last week.

I presume that OP is not flying in F/J and thus is not entitled to a second guest. Thus, the answer is no unless someone decides to allow it. No way to find out in advance as the answer is no. If attempting this make sure you know who is your one guest and make sure that #2 knows he is is #2 .

The BA rules are even tighter. I and three family members (all over 18) tried to get into the BA F lounges at LHR. Once in T5 and another time in T3. The other three family members were Plats, I was EXP, and everyone was traveling in J. I was allowed only one guest, no discussion. Not complaining, just noting BA's adherence to published rules and the overall tighter entry requirements to their F lounges. Similar to what AA's FL rules used to be.

He doesn't say which lounge but I can say for MIA they are very strict at the ground floor check-in and on the upper floor where the AC and FL are with a common lobby they check again for a stamp and make sure AC users don't sneak into the FL on the QT.

If AA insists on enforcing its rules, you should go DYKWIA, and ask for 2 SWU's as compensation.
