Pretty slim.

It sounds as though they've got the birds to do the two RT's without screwing up other scheduing. That is a way to test the market to see if the premium service cuts it xBOS. If it does, once the fleet is increased, I'd bet AA moves the remainder of the frequencies to the premium service. If not, they'll pull the service.

Man, I just can't keep up with my scorecard. So the 321T is three-class and the 321S is two-class?

A321T: 3 class version.
A321S: 2 class version
A321H: Identical to A321S, but with ETOPS.
A321: 2 class LUS version with no power/AVOD.

When booking flights, the first 3 are coded A32B, the last one is A321

A321S has a lot of bad MCE seats. A321T has all great MCE and more private cabin

I’d argue that the A321S offers more “great” seats than the A321T, but you’re right, it also has some bad MCE seats, of which the A321T has none.

I too prefer the smaller cabin on the A321T.

The last sentence is key. Unless you fly LAX-JFK, SFO-JFK and now LAX-BOS on these flights, you aren't on a 321T. So anywhere else in the network, a 32B is a LAA a321 with power, IFE etc. while 321 is a LUS bird with no power or IFE.

I love row 11 seats and 12F on a321S. I also feel like the rest of MCE is kinda cramped. I believe a321T has an inch more legroom in non exit MCE seats

AANYC1981 Nov 29, 2018 5:09 pm

A321T in MCE is about as good as it can get in coach. Being NYC based we get free fresh meals (LAX/SFO), unlimited wine and cocktails (at least for me), high speed WiFi, roomy seats with so much recline I don’t even need to recline, movies on seatback AVOD etc

I wouldn’t describe stale bread as fresh meal but it is as good as it gets in domestic Y. And the eat part is that there are no lavatories in the middle of Y in A321S. That mid lavatory kinda ruins 3rd door exit seats in a321s

Pretty poorly written press release to suggest they offer lumbar pillows and mattress pads in Flagship Business. Every time I’ve flown the 321T in J they don’t offer those. In F I’ve gotten the lumbar pillow but never the mattress pad (maybe you have to ask?)

Anyone guess what the pricing will be on these routes?

A3321S has a mid-cabin lavatory. I think you mean no mid-cabin lavatory in the A321T.

I, for one, am very excited about this since I fly this route often.:)

Raymond Lu Nov 29, 2018 10:02 pm

which are the bad MCE seats on 321S? thanks!

Raymond Lu Nov 29, 2018 10:03 pm

One turnaround flight has different flight number and slightly different departure time as the reservation site shows.

Will the services on abroad align to be the same for 321T and non-321T flights?

They can't: 321T has 3 classes of service, the other aircraft have only 2 classes Not a match.
