Wouldn't the cold temperatures in the cargo hold kill the worker?

I hope he didn't have any lithium batteries on him.

Due process. Further investigation.

It’s likely, as a Transportation worker, they collected some samples to send to the lab they use for that. (He’s subje t to periodic, random and incident-driven samples for analysis.)

I know. I’m a TWIC card holder myself. I assume he will be terminated after the certain protocols are checked off.

What an idiot.

Maybe. Might depend on his employer's ADFWP policy, etc.

The sleepiness has been ascribed to a hangover from heavy drinking the previous day. A statement from AA, in part:

”A Piedmont Airlines employee, who was working an American Airlines flight on the morning of Oct. 27 at Kansas City International Airport (MCI), inadvertently fell asleep in the forward cargo hold of a Boeing 737-800 aircraft," American Airlines said in a statement. "The flight subsequently took off with the team member in the cargo hold, which was heated and pressurized.

"Our top priority is ensuring the well-being of the Piedmont employee," the statement continued. "He did not request any medical attention upon arrival in Chicago, and we are grateful that he did not sustain any injuries. The American team is very concerned about this serious situation, and we are reviewing what transpired with our Piedmont and Kansas City colleagues."

I'd much rather fly in the hold than in the torture chamber that discount-D calls a cabin. Maybe I can use some of my stickers to upgrade to the hold?

I suspect you already know the answer to this. In just about any "normal" business he would be fired on the spot, but... this is an airline.

From the OPS-perspective...

Would this represent a LMC on the Load Sheet, in regards of pax or bag count!?

That’s incorrect. I’ve worked with many companies, including many Fortune 500, ranging from forest products to high- and bio-tech, transportation, waste treatment - removal and recycling and many more, and typically they’d investigate, possibly including testing, and depending on the results would range from termination to last chance agreement and treatment, often through the company Employee Assistance Program or similar.
